i am just as guilty...i ride in glasses a muscle shirt and shorts   i have a riding jacket,gloves and helmets but in my backwards state i would be the only one with the right gear.....and top speed with no gear?  lets just say i wouldnt want to be around if i went down.  but.. i bought helmet walkie talkies  i will look into the right gear .

Helmet, gloves, Boots and Jockstrap (Dayglow Orange) for me . .

I looked into the origin of "squid" once and the only doc I found talked about some old, old [70s?] article some cyclist wrote where he described a kid acting like a squirrel, darting around, shifty head movements... that's how I THINK it all began was that article
