water oil cooler???

I've run into another jam.

I've cut my forks and bottom of my side panels {this baby is low but still has a 4 in ground clearance} and I have no room for the stock oil cooler. I've ordered a h2o oil cooler that I'm going to tie into my radiator hose then run my oil return from turbo through it. Do you think this will work ok and will it cool the oil as well as the stock oil cooler? The zx 14 has this set up on there stock bike. Has anyone else done this?
