Oil cooler

I was looking at my gen 2 when I was installing my R-77 and I was thinking "there is no way to fit a turbo on this thing and retain the stock oil cooler!" so do all of the kits just remove the oil cooler or is there an option to keep it? I would think removing it would kill your bike's longevity especially with a hairdryer adding extra heat to the oil to begin with. Just a question from someone who would like to eventually go turbo...

Yup, remove the cooler on just about all the kits. Turbo busas have been around for years so it is probably not as bad as you fear. Some people have added a different type of oil cooler but not too often heard of.

What about the LSR guys, what are they doing to cool the oil?

nothing is needed. no overheated oil issues in LSR.
