Traded in my night rod special + cash for a 06 Hayabusa, tail tidy and dominator exhaust. Got bored of the HD and not being able to turn normally without scratching a foot peg. Mostly ride highways and country roads. Any riders from Sweden here?

Welcome! I'm a long way from Sweden but you made a great choice. You drag the pegs on that Busa and you're really doing something lol.

Welcome along, we need pics, riding history and bike info immediately . . we all have an insatiable desire for these necessities, oh and thanks for ABBA, as for Volvo . . not so much.
HD to a Busa, hmmmm. . . good luck my friend, the Busa, unlike a Hogley Doglison, has power and plenty to spare! Great choice though.
Enjoy.

Welcome, they don't come much cleaner than that bike...you will enjoy riding that bike for certain.

Just by looking at that bike, Suzuki had their hands full trying to improve the design over the gen 1 in making the gen 3.

Thanks everyone!
It was kinda funny how it all went down. Always wanted a hayabusa since 2004ish but somehow got the irk for a cruiser and ended up with another of my “dream bikes” in the night rod. Anyhow, saw the ad for this gen 1 and the dealership was on my way home from work. Went in and talked to the seller, he got it started up for me and I did a safety check. What immediately got my attention was the quality of the bike. The response of the throttle, the smoothness of the engine and the steering. It blew me away how much better put together it was compared to my porsche built HD!
Scrambled some numbers immediately and did the trade. I get the busa delivered as soon as riding season starts and the dealership gets it inspected at the DMV.
Thanks again for the warm welcome! Looking forward to spring!

I have a buddy who has a Night Train V Rod...he used to think it was fast until he tried to put a smack down on my Hayabusa and I....

For what it is the V Rod is a cool bike too.

Yeah the v-rod is cool for sure. My main issue with is was rideability. They are decent 11 sec bikes on a straight line. As soon as you hit a corner or roundabout it’s like navigating a train. Try turning normally and you scrape the exhaust or foot peg.

good lookin gen 1!!!
I could be mistaken, but wasn't the "night train" that harley started back in the 90s is what started the "blacked out" or "murdered out" fad that has become so popular now with so many makes and model bikes? I'm a fan of blacked out factory bikes myself as I've had a couple

Not sure when the trend started. I do remember the night rods really kicking it off though in the early 2000’s, especially the modded out ones with 300 kits!
