the truth on maximum speed

Thats possible, with perfect conditions. I think Got-Busa said he had to drop 2 teeth on the rear to pass 200mph. Listen to him, he's done his homework:thumbsup:. He pm'd me some details a while back, I wanna try for 200 myself at Maxton later this year if i get the cash in time.

Six did you ever try 200 ?

Yeah,
I miss it a little
but the new Z
makes up for the loss .

Sadly it has been too cold ,
foggy or rainy to put many
miles on it so far .

Now that you mention the Kawasaki ~^~ took it back from Honda in the mid 80's *

Nah, 197mph was it, gps'd(stock gen2 gearing, ecu flash, full dual Akropavic, no mirrors)
I'm pretty sure I could have(not lsr, but a few miles of empty straight road).
I added a Spiegler bar conversion after, and never got around to removing it temporarily and adding taller gearing.

But, Red was supposed to let me take his turbo Busa to the store, so I could break 200mph, so as soon as I ride over to his house, lol.

Unfortunately, Maxton closed shortly after my original post.

You might have a better shot with the KING of speed ~^~ Kawasaki H2 rolling on a really long deserted highway *

When my bike was brand new I bounced of the 186 limiter very quickly against a new Corvette stingray .
Surprised how quick it got there , but I'm a small guy especially tucked in . Later with LSL kit / ECU flash , and slip ons it pinged 196 GPS with mirrors . The Gearing was 19 /43 with a 55 rear tire . There was just a WEE bit more maybe 1 mph or 2 , but road was ending for those speeds . Now running bags I haven't been above 181 GPS . I imagine in PERFECT conditions with full exhaust , bags off , mirrors off , Stock screen , and a low seat ( i have a pan just for this ) It might make 200 . However missing belly wing , and GSXR 1000 front fender it may not . Even with a tune those two items are key to the cutting through the air like the Peregrine Falcon .
Honestly have little desire to find out 165 / 180 they put a good smile on the face ;)

Suzuki annihilation of the Blackbird before the turn of the century ~ perhaps HONDA will take a shot at the H2R *

Music sounds like a '70s porn......

Cool bike though, would love to see Honda make this, it might inspire Suzuki to get riled up and make the Hayabusa again.

Yep, 3mph short was good enough for me.
I know I could have set it up for about 202mph, but it was more trouble than it was worth at the time.
I'de happily try if I had a chance again.
As for bragging rights, I don't care, as all the real bike guys understand, and all the squids have already been 200+mph, lol.

So true! My favorite conversation ever was squid "how fast does your bike go?"
Me "the way it's geared, about 175"
Squid "no, it's faster than that. I was doing 210 when you passed me."
Me "on a 01 gixxer 1k with a not small broad on the back? You're effin high. My bike is out of gear at 175 ish, you were slower than that."
Moron. I was 16/45 on a gen 1 at that point.

the H2R is race track only certified and comes with a $50,000 sticker. I am quite sure any of us can get our street legal Hayabusa to do the same with 50 grand in the engine.

Dodge Tomahawk was the fastest made at 350MPH for a cool $500,00 price tag. 9 were made.

Don't know . I do know MTT Streetfight is a turbine motorcycle STREET LEGAL with 420 HP and 500ft/lbs of torque with a top speed of 250MPH and yeah they do have videos of it. Cost $185,000 on it.
