well I think a person should give a great deal of thought to "who cares"
if you spouse objects, your employer, or even the people you are around on a daily basis... yea nice to tell the world to KMA but it can have repercussions further down the road and that could really affect your entire life...
you of all people are searching jobs and just lucky to get past the tatts part right? As income goes up, so do the requirements and the amount of scrutiny you go through.. the last thing I need to have to hurdle is a tattoo an employer may find objectionable..
yes to each his own, but my family and income must come first..
I would totally agree with the above.
I work in upper management and my peers either do not have any tattoo's or if they do they are hidden by business attire.
And as much as I don’t want to sound judgmental, I am pretty confident that if I had a lot of tattoo’s I would either not have the job I have making the money I am making OR…. Well there is no or, it is doubtful I would have my job. I couldn’t see me interacting with the people I do if I were all tatted up.
As much as we all would think we don’t live in a discriminatory society, and in a lot of respects it is a lot better, the bottom line is certain people will not be hired or wont hold jobs long enough.
You wont find many tattooed people un upper management positions.
You wont find many extremely over weight or really un-attractive females working at hooters or strip clubs or anywhere else it is expected to find hot women.
The an employer might not outright say you are ugly, or you have too many tats, or you are too short to reach the emergency handle without carrying around a 6 foot ladder. But they will provide a reasonable excuse not to hire you that cannot be disputed.
In the end you are still out of a job.
