Anybody having a supercharged GenI ?

I know the most prefer turbo ,but centrifugal chargers have also advantages ,and the new systems are not bad.
Its the same idea , just diferent way to go.
Think chargers are easyer tu manage as the boost is linear to rpm.
I know less power then a turbo ,but in general better to handle in winding roads like the Dragon or in the mountains were peak power isnt needed ,but everybody would like to have some kinda stock torque at these roads.
Im talking about a range of 220-250 HP max ,which is also not needed there ,but to keep low end power is my goal.

I stay away from SC's because of the parasitic loss and more moving parts (belts) to deal with.

A properly configured turbo shouldn't give you crazy jump in boost or mess with your ride - just size it properly and keep the boost to a reasonable amount. It should spool up quickly and give you a constant nice number. Boost controllers are the best upgrade IMO for a FI vehicle.

Also a turbo is great if you change elevation a lot.

linear power of a SC is cool, but the torque of a blower really sucks.

Twist the throttle on a turbo and torque gets you moving fast, on a SC not the case.
