6 services for $1300 sounds good.

I prepaid for 3 services and got the extended warranty also.

I did the first 3 services, and no extended warranty. I think it was an extra $600.

A large portion ($400-$600) of the $1300 is the 3 yr extended warrenty. Earliest valve adjust called for is at 15000 miles so they won't do it till then. Otherwise it's just oil changes and maybe adjust the chain and look things over. See how much the warrenty is by itself and check with your LBS on the price of the 6 services. I'm not real fond of dealership maintainence anyway. To many places are way to careless with their work. Get to know your local bike repair/parts shop, as a rule much better work and nicer people to deal with. My

I don't usually favor extended warranties but after looking at it (SEP)I ended getting it from a dealer in SC or around there. If anyone needs to know I can look it up. I paid $600 for 4 years of unlimited (it's the genuine Suzuki Extended Plan). I still pay for scheduled maintenance... though I'll do it myself, but I feel good that I have that plan on the bike for another 3 years.

Note, my dealer in San diego wanted $1300 for 3 years and it wasn't the SEP.

If you feel the need for an extended warranty, do some checking, you'll find a deal.

Yep what he said!I got mine for less than that cause i was about to turn it down! The services are a rip! and knowing what i know now! The one year is going to show any factory defect and after that they won't cover it anyway. Its a trap! Rip off and not needed! unless the 08 are junk like the ZX14 is turning out to B.

Don't waste your money. I would only get that on a laptop. It's just a way to increase dealer profits in my opinion.

Well if it is for the 6 services then No the dealer ship that I work at has something like this but it also includes 2 free tires and 2 Free Batteries plus all your service and also offers a 10% discount on parts. If is was that kind of a deal then I would say yes in fact when I buy my next bike I wil purchase their package that way all I have to do is drop it off and watch the mechanic preform the service.

hey guys just an update, I actually got the ext warranty and prepaid service
I looked around at other local shops, looked into just getting the warranty but all in all it is a great deal considering how much those 6 prepaid services would cost
so it was a little steeeep for me to spend that money but really worth it as i ll be cover in the future
I talked to lots of guys yesterday at the local bike meet ( pavillions scottsdale) and I was told the prices of various service
so I figure out the best thing was to either DIY or get the plan from the dealership

If the dealership is half as good as the one I use, you're in good shape.

I figured having a warranty wouldn't matter, As soon as I got my BUSA it went under a bunch of mod changes that the warranty wouldn't cover anyway. Not bad to have if you are not doing alot of modding.

It comes down to mileage really .

If you don't plan on riding the bike 15 K or more miles a season, I couldn't justify it.

Remember this when you see a newbie asking the same thing in 3 years.

actually I put lots of miles on my bikes . Mods will be limited to trouring oriented stuff, adn bolt on exhaust just for sound...
more than enough power for me now and for the years to come

just figure out I would give it a try, never got this kind of stufff from the dealership, maybe in a couple year I ll call the stealership.
anyways looking at prices of valves adjustment, other maintenance and the fact I dont have tools or room to do it myself, on top of that I cant do nothing good with toools
so I talked to the head mechanics and he seems to have a good team,

thx for the imput

going tomorrow for the first prepaid service, 600 miles on the clock
would have logged more in two weeks but service was needed......

good night guys, go to bed and dream how in a perfect world soccer mom would ride scooter insteads of big ass SUV crap

I never got an extended warranty on my gixxers either because I didnt go over 15k a yr. and I always yanked the cam chain tensioner and went manual. But I already asked about that on another thread, sounds like i'll leave it alone this time around and pass on the extension too.
