I'm thinking about doing some traveling this season. So I bought a set of saddle bags to hold clothes , etc. These are Nelson Rigg soft-sided saddle bags.
Anyway the trouble I'm having is getting them mounted securely. They have a couple of velcro straps on top that can be adjusted to lay across the back seat. Then there are straps on the front and back of each bag to keep them from flapping in the wind. These straps are the trouble. I can't find a decent place to mount them that will: (1) keep the bags from shifting, (2) be away from moving bits like the chain and rear wheel, (3) not cover the turn signals or brake light.
Anyone have any experience mounting soft sided saddle bags to their Busa? Where did you run the tie-down straps?
