just picked up a new pair of ICON Super Duty2 boots yesterday, and already put 60+ mi. on the bike wearing these bad boys-I was worried about fit, but their 14 was just right; normally I wear a 15 in most shoes, so if you order ICON boots, go a size lower than what you would wear otherwise.
The toes' grip strips work well; I used to wear Puma Speed Cats, and my toes on my left foot were always sore after riding from kickn up gears in an athletic shoe-the boot's hard toe shell kept my toes from ever feeling numb or sore.
I rode straight for 30 min, and ankles were not cramped or chafing from high cut of boot-offers coverage for whole ankle and feels sturdy, yet comfortable. The mid-foot strap does a good job of keeping the boot anchored to your foot-no wiggling around or looseness is noticeable once you clamp it down...I unclamped when I got off bike and wore while walking through a mall for 20 min, and they are fairly light and offer good cushioning. Only gripe is the new leather squeaking while walking...they're kinda noisy, but so are my Reebok InstaPumps whenever they get wet, so for the comfort and protection they offer I will overlook some squeaks, and hope that will go away once I break them in.
Just thought I'd share with everyone. If you're in the market, these things are worth the money.
