Reasons NOT to buy a Turbo for my Busa?

The last few days I have been inexplicably drawn to the RCC website and have been looking at the picks of the Stage 1 kit and rationalizing. I don't NEED a turbo. I don't even know what I would do with a turbo. I certainly can think of other things I SHOULD spend $5000 on that are much more responsible. And yet I keep going back and looking at that freakin pic of the Stage 1 kit as if it is magical!

Please fellow members of the forum. Bring me to my senses and give me some good reasons NOT to buy a Stage 1 Turbo Kit before I go ahead and do something stupid and totally irresponsible!:please:

You Don't NEED all that AWESOME POWER. The BUSA Stock has More than Enough Power

So do you have a Link to the RCC Website

(anyone)---What is the over-all expeirence with a turbo. Im just fasinated by the thought of my baby bein even more lethal...

If / when you quit looking and buy a kit...do yourself a favor and run your fuel tank low because you need to get in the tank + oil / lube the o-rings on the fuel rail while reassembling the new parts....the rings tear easily when they are dry.

A few months ago I was "looking" as you are now...and now I have a stage 1. If you thought it was fast before...after you get the turbo you'll think twice before grabbing the throttle.

Have fun.

Reason NOT to? UM, well...chicks hate fast bikes. Nope thats not it. UM, they sound slow. Nope, not good either. Those Filters sticking out the side of you bike cut down on your aerodynamics. Ya thats it:laugh:

what Im getting at is that I dont drag race nor plan to. just wanna know the expeirence on street such as throttle sensitivity, wheelies:whistle:, hell even fuel miledge...jk and can it still be a slow, easy cruiser on those days when you dont wanna kill it...

just a newbie with some Q's smart@ss:laugh:

simple as that...

yea thats gotta be it... nice

Cheap quick parts that can easily be swapped back to stock are sprockets...on some sites they offer a 1 tooth down in the front and three teeth up on the rear is a set with a new chain...I have that combo...but I'd stick to steel sprockets...other race only guys may use Al sprockets but I was guided away from that on the street application.

Well just go with the filter that hides under the fairing, and what ever you do run a sexy dump pipe

Sorry :please:

It's all in your wrist.

I'm on my second turbo bike...they'll be whatever you want them to be, its all in the right wrist  I'm just a street rider, no dragging or tracks, and I'll always have a boosted bike around....they're one of the biggest rushes you'll ever experience  And when they're set up right and street ridden they can last a very long time :beerchug: I'm getting tingles just thinking about a ride

Okay, you guys really aren't helping me at all....all you are giving me is more reason to buy the freakin turbo when I specifically asked for reasons NOT to buy! The air filter aerodynamics and the idea that chicks hate fast bikes were both excellent reasons but other than those you guys are really disappointing me here!

Tell me that my insurance company will drop me if they find out I have added a turbo or that reliability goes down the toilet or that I will be replacing the rear tire every month......c'mon.....I'm dyin here and my Visa card is beside my computer now!

errrrrrg... I was just discussing the possibility of a an RCC Stage 2 system with the wife, but to my surprise she wasn't against it. I expected her to talk (order) me down! I've never ridden a turbo bike. Does the throttle get unruly, or is there just a whole lot more on tap when called for?

Oh yeah, ahem... DON'T DO IT BAZOOKI!!!
