I never actually Googled to see if it's available in a street version but I imagine it'd be worth way more then what the average (hence being me) guy is willing to spend to ride 3/4 months of the year up here.

If we're talking about the real world then there isn't really a debate because even if you wanted it, you couldn't have an RC211V. But if it's hypothetical, there really isn't a debate because the 1198R to the RC211V is as a dull disposable plastic knife is to a surgical scalpel

Now back to the reality of the post... the 1098 has got to be one of the sexiest (key words here) 'obtainable, street legal' bikes on the road.

Love the GenII Hayabusa (hence, that's why I bought one) but always gave the the Ducati's (999r and now the 1098's) a second look. Just have that certain element...

Yeah. I always thought the 999 was the best looking duke. It's the over&under headlight configuration, and the almost single-piece body plastics.

The new BMW 1000rr is one heck of a bike but it's lacking a certain substance... can't quite put my finger on it yet.
