ram air horse power at speed

i have a question about dynoing (is that a word?) a Busa, stock is somewhere between 148 and 160 at the wheel. but on a dyno that does not take into account the ram air effect at higher speeds, seems like at high speeds it would be quite a positive pressure increase kind of like a turbo with maybe only 2-3 pounds of boost but more hp because of cooler denser air than a turbo. has anyone ever measured this effect and or pressure at speed. i remember reading in a mustang mag using equipment to measure this seems like it was 1 or 2 pounds of dare i say boost at 100 mph.besides aerodynamic bodywork, is this the reason a Busa is faster than bikes that make more hp on a dyno.so maybe at speed this same busa may make 175 or 180 at the wheel just wondering or is this retarded thinking.
i posted this in the dyno area but i wanted more people to see it here and give any ideas.

Yup you are correct!!

Your right about the RAM air part also (theoretically) ... but I dont think that the HP would differ more than 2-3% with the RAM air effect. Someone correct me if im wrong

The suzuki engineers were smart enough to take this into account, therefore they added some fuel in the upper rpm levels to go along with that little bit of extra air coming into the engine making some extra hp.Alot of dyno tuners dont do this, they just use wideband o2 sensors and exhaust gas temp sensors to get the air/fuel where they think it should be.

Great question!

I think I read that the ram air effect on the Busa at its top end, is something like 15+ hp. Now properly seal the ram air tubes, and add a small airbox mod, along with a map that is a little richer on the top end & Im guessing your gonna possibly add some more HP over the stock numbers.

unless you could duplicate the pressure at high speeds you would be guessing at the correct map? right, but it definetly would need to be richer.

Don't they sell units that display 1/4 mile - top speed - G Force - HP - Torque? I will check, and post if I find something portable, but seems to me I think Escort makes a unit.
