What is the red halo on the wheel/tire combo? Is it a red painted pinstripe on the rim or the tire (ala sixties style rubber?) Maybe a close up pic?

The wheels are Volk TE-37 Time Attack editions (limited production, no longer available, took freakin' FOREVER to get, very rare in M3 fitment).

The inner lip of the wheel is powder coated red. I really dig the look.
