I bought this 05 Busa last December with approx 7000 miles on it.  Have only ridden it a couple times, mainly short trips (40 miles or so) and one good trip last month (a couple hundred miles).  The bike has ran fine till yesterday, went for a short ride and after a stop when I turned the key on I noticed on the main top indicator it said "CHECK" which at the time I hadn't a clue as to what that meant, figured I'd check out the manual when I got back to the shop.  Well, on the ride back to the shop I noticed the bike kinda missing or hesitating (kinda hard to explain) kinda felt like all cylinders wern't firing or was starving for fuel but only slightly.  At first I didn't know if I was just imagining it as I'm still not totally familiar with the bikes full power, anyhow almost to the shop on a lonely side street I really rapped the throttle and I definetly could feel a fluntuating hesitation.  Holy crap, what to check first?  Get to the shop and read manual, it states that if that indicator reads "FI" or "CHECK" then that is an indication that there is something seriously wrong with the fuel injection system.  Any suggestions from you experienced Busa mechanics?

First thing I would check would be the kickstand switch. Make sure you don't have a loose nut in there somewhere.

Wow, I was thinking (hoping) fouled plug or bad gas, you know, something easy but would have never considered the kickstand switch. Actually yesterday I was real disappointed when it happened, just didn't expect to experience any real problems with such a new bike. When I got the bike back to the shop I thought a good way to get out of that funk was to start on some of the mods/maintenance items that I've been meaning to get around to the last couple of months. Started taking the ass end apart, took a white stabillo pencil and drew a line right at the top of that ugly shovel, grabbed an exacto knife and chopped that sucker totally off of there (WOW, I can see my tire, that looks way too cool), ditched the ugly rear turn signals, fabricated a new license plate mount & blacked out the rear reflector under the stock tail light. Im really liking the way it looks now, tomorrow I guess the fairings come off so I can check the plugs, hopefully I can figure out what's causing the hesitation.

Need a little more info about when it happened, at what RPM and how often it happens? A single incident may not indicate a problem, but if there is one it could be caused by a lot of things.

Did you fuel up at the stop? It seems like there have been a bunch of bad gas posts over the past month.
