oil filter

time to change oil and filter on my 08,anybody using a aftermarket oil filter or should i stick wit the suzuki brand?

I was using Fram but I'm switching back to the Suzuki brand filter. It's one of the best. Fram, I just found out, isn't too good.

I'm using purlator, I have had excellent results, no problems, and cost about $6.00.

Get the K & n filter. Has a nut on the end for removal. Very easy to get out and a good filter. Filter # for the 08-09 is kn-138

May want to look into this filter. Seems like great build quality and you can re-use it!

This is the way I'm going to go when I do my first service. I never liked the metal/paper combo filters that most vehicles use because they seem hazardous to the environment since most people just throw them away after use.

The k&n has the holes for safety wire holes in them also if you race

I run with the K & N (138). Pretty good. Does the job...Just don't over-torque when installing or the nut is as useful as cold butter when loosening with a spanner, or you'll be referring to a screwdriver and hammer anyway

Yup. 100% synth is around $100 for a 4Lt bottle here if you do it yourself.
