OK, I'm an old guy from back when roller chains were the
the only final drive any motorcycle had. We used to lube them about once a week. Now we have o-ring chains that
have the grease sealed in, and I hear talk that people still lube
(and sometimes even clean!) them every week. Has anything
been improved by having o-ring chains? How often do you really need to clean and lube these things anyway? If you go on a 3,000 mile trip, how much cleaning and lubing junk does a person need to pack?
