O-RING Chain Care

OK, I'm an old guy from back when roller chains were the
the only final drive any motorcycle had. We used to lube them about once a week. Now we have o-ring chains that
have the grease sealed in, and I hear talk that people still lube
(and sometimes even clean!) them every week. Has anything
been improved by having o-ring chains? How often do you really need to clean and lube these things anyway? If you go on a 3,000 mile trip, how much cleaning and lubing junk does a person need to pack?

I only lube mine every 4 or 5 hundred miles and clean them about twice or 3 times a season.....

here is a good read in the maintanence section

clean it , an' lube it everyday . AWESOME. A Ten .

anything else....grade it on a downward scale.....once a month....scores a 7 .

once a season scores a 4 .

nobody can answer yer Q accurately.

Light lube after every other tank of gas.

Clean when visably dirty.

No chain is going to last on the Busa.

Lube it when it's dry, clean it when it's dirty...
