Live to Ride - Ride to DIE


I bumped into this site on a local newspaper but not sure what to think about it. One part of me says it's a good reminder but the other part says it's a bunch of morbid stuff that won't happen to me.

It's a site that is setup with the worst possible pictures to try to save us riders from ourselves. The hope is to keep people off of motorcycles and live in a cotton padded house, hoping that one day we don't choke on a piece of toast (or some other daily hazard).

Stay alert. Dress for the crash, not the ride. Enjoy life now because you never know when your time is up.

It is a sobering reminder to ride defensively, wear safety gear, to continue going to advanced riding and safety courses. Be conspicious; I don't like it but I wear a bright orange safety vest.

I've likened riding to as "the most stupid fun one can have".

Site does have it's valid points when stating that todays roads are more crowded with more distractions... see it everyday.
