How about people less fortunate than you?

1936, Italy invaded Etiophia. Haili Salasse spoke in front of the League of Nations. "Today it's us, but tomorrow it'll be you". Subsequently, rise of fascism followed.
This is not Italy or the 1930's

I think many of the "Less fortunate" in this country are more along the lines of "less likely to want to work" group.. The chronically unemployed are usually that way because they are happy to live at subsistence level on govt hand outs.. In fact the vast majority never finished high school.. They did manage to figure out how to pop babies to increase income..

They are stealing from those who are genuinely in dire straights and need some short term help.. I feel for this group...

X2. As being on state assistance while I was still in school and wife was preggers. I know what the good intention of these programs are for. And now paying several thousands in taxes a year it doesn't bother me to help people but it kills me to see a person that hasn't worked or won't wokr because it interfers with their gov check. Now I pay my bills and taxes with zero aid or assistance have my wife through school zero gov grants because I make too much and she is paying in asd well now too.

You referring to people that don't want to work? I've been on the "less fortunate" spectrum, wasn't fun. Served my country, paid for and received my education benefits and am now more fortunate. You're sounding more and more like a bleeding heart freeloader!

Less fortunate = People with less opportunities than you, who are older and weaker and no families to rely on. People who can only earn minimum wages and no benefits, less strong, less money, less intelligent, more burden, etc....

Why do you b4 feel the need to defend socialism but go on irelevant rants? What socialist based programs do you think would work here?
Personally our gov doesn't have the ability in any sense of the word to provide health care to the masses that won't fall on the peoples shoulders that don't need it. I've never went without ins and there's been years I've grossed less than 20k while in school. Seems people that are for it are too lazy to support themselves and find ways to provide ins

Like Salasse said, today it's them, tomorrow it could be you.
I won't let it be me. I haven't limited myself to work skills. I haven't grown a lifestyle outside of my means. Unless I quit my job and start freebasing hourly I won't let it happend

Trickle down effect is term coined by Reagan era politicians for their economic plans. Say 'organic'...

How does organic apply? Overpriced unneccessary labeling?

i grew up poor.....

half of my friends, did not graduate high school.

while i was busting my ass, some of them were partying, having kids....running the streets and joining gangs.

i made the right decisions, i made the sacrifices and put in the work.....

why do i need to support those that did not, do not and will not next year...

people talk about the healthcare system of foriegn countries.....yet the last time i checked, nobody was cramming themselves into cargo containers to sneak those countries....

the system is broken, you cannot build a strong nation by taking from those that work hard and are successful...and give to those that do not.

Exactly! I get so tired of hearing about those without the resources or this....or that....so unfortunate. Get off your ars, move, get an education, work 2 jobs, whatever it takes to make something for yourself. If I were to lose my job the last thing I'd ever let happen is my family to go without, even it it meant working 2 or 3 jobs. I by no means live in a wealthy area so good jobs (aka OPPORTUNITIES you speak of) are very rare and hard to find. The median hourly wage is about $14 for this area, not much after you pay a few thousand in house taxes, feed/cloth the family, pay for transportation, etc, etc. Sure there's areas worse off, but there's a lot better out there with people doing the whole sitting around routine playing "poor me".

Organic describes forms, methods and patterns found in living systems such as the organisation of cells, to populations, communities, and ecosystems.

Typically organic models stress the interdependence of the component parts, as well as their differentiation. Other properties of organic models include:

the growth, life or development cycle
the ability to adapt, learn, and evolve
emergent behaviour or emergent properties
steady change or growth, as opposed to instant change
regulatory feedback
composed of heterogeneous (diverse) parts
Organic models are used especially in the design of artificial systems, and the description of social systems and constructs.
