Mileage Challenge

I am wanting to offer my time to keep up with the mileage challenge. So... If everyone who wants to be a part of this will send me a PM with their miles, starting from 01Jan2007 I will compile a total mileage list.

Also, I will challenge board sponsors to come up with a giveaway for each month for the challenge winner. For my first compilation, I will happily donate a set of EBC HH pads.

So... send me your miles, have some patience with me and know that if I doubt your miles I will need dates. LOL!!

I am writing a new file to log all the miles and keep up with it. If you want to be in the challenge and your name is NOT on the previous list, get me your miles.

If you do not have a way to verify your 01Jan2007 mileage, then you will be put in the Summer Challenge which will begin on June 1st and run til September 1st.

I plan on contacting suppliers for donations towards the mileage challege. These awards will be given out at the end of the Summer Challenge, most likely at the Fall Bash! If anyone has any questions or comments about how this should be handled, run or tallied feel free to contact me.

So far I have in the challege earnings for prizes:

Two sets of Tires, Pilot Powers & Metzler M3.
One set of EBC HH pads

Get your miles in and your info updated.

The mileage challenge will be serious this year as it has been in the past. I am currently testing an Excel program that I can load the mileage inputs to and launch it to my website so that everyone can download the latest in mileage information.

So as to keep everyone who is participating in the challenge legit, I am not requiring a pic with each entry but will be "auditing" your entry by spot requesting a USA Today with a mileage entry to be posted within 48 hours of "Said Mileage" or you are OUT of the Summer Challenge. I will take some issues into consideration, but in this day & age... anyone can find a cellphone that can send a pic or get a digital camera. I would bet that if the "Wheel Gods" dropped a set of new BST's at your door you would find a way to post pics of them on your Busa.

If your name is NOT on this list and I DO NOT have your Mileage UP TO DATE as of June 1st, You WILL NOT BE IN THE SUMMER CHALLENGE, but you may participate in the 2007 Mileage Challenge.

Let me say it again for all those who have a Megaphone exhaust... If you do not have your mileage up-to-date with me by the June 1st deadline, you will not be eligible for the Summer Challenge. Any NOOBS... those persons NEW to HAYABUSA.ORG or New Hayabusa Purchases, who WANT to be a part of the summer challenge AFTER the June 1st deadline will do so by the acceptance of the majority of those ALREADY participating in the Summer Challenge. That means, you will already be starting late and have to be voted in by your PEERS who got their STUFF together early.

I suggest everyone who wants to be a part of this event, get their data to me quickly. I will be contacting Board Sponsors for giveaway prizes and I already have commitments from two different Suppliers. There should be something earned for wearing your pride & joy mile for mile!

I will have mileage ranking posted as quickly as the data can be entered into the spreadsheet.

Not at all... I like to mix it up, keep you guys on your toes! LOL!! Hey, I have to get some enjoyment out of all this work!

I have to admit, ever since purchasing my Busa June 1st of last year... the Mileage Challenge has pushed me at times to ride when I would have rationally taken the cage. I have learned more in riding because of those decisions. I have learned that you cannot trust the weather man and that I CAN ride Deal's Gap in 27 degree snow!

I will do my best not to let anyone down, to include all who want to play and I suggest to my Busa Brethern to encourage all to post in their Signatures where their ranking falls. In doing this, more people will want to join in and the sponsors I have contacted will see a greater interest, thus being more forthcoming in FREEBIES for the Challenge.

I need everyone's current updates before the June 1st deadline. Getting your number to me sooner gives you the advantage of the extra time before the deadline. In last year's Challenge, the first three spots could have been changed due to a couple days more time to ride.
