Lowered bike shorten kick stand

My daughter has a new GSXR 600 and dropped it last night. She is getting it lowered and will probably need a shorter kick stand. Should we get an adjustable kick stand or cut the stock stand and weld it?

Get an adjustable , so you can put it back one day for sale , or give it to next owner . Should have plenty of choice out there , but 2 I like are the well priced Japan Impact kickstand ( not a great name ) from standard height down , and the not so well priced , but very well made from Brocks , if you are really lowering it .
