My Busa is lowered, 1 1/2 inches, my kicksatnd is stock. As you can imagine this had made for some interesting parkin jobs. I dont wanna spend the money on a shorter stand and even if I did i dont really like any of them. A friend with a ZX10 cut an inch out of the center and had it welded and painted, would never know he did it. Is there anyone who could help me do this? I have an extra stand but no welder... any help out there?

I saw somewhere where they put the sidestand in a vice, heated it with a torch and just bent it with a hammer. At the angle it already sits, you wouldn't need to bend it very far to accomodate the lowered chassis.

+1 on the kickstand mod. I'm down an inch in the front and about 2" in the rear and i did the kickstand mod with no problems. The nike sits at pretty close to stock lean angle, and all it cost me was about 10 minutes of my time and a good dremel metal cutting bit.

Just be very careful if you cut it...you need to at least place the flat piece back on the bottom. My CBR600 had its kickstand cut down (because of lowering) and the person never welded the flat piece at the end back on, so when pavement got hot, it sunk into it and one day, fell over because of wind. Be very careful on how you do this..

If you cut out a section and weld it back toghter...think of grinding the two parts left over like cones...start the weld at the tips and then continue around and out untill your at regular diameter. that way you have solid penetration to the center of the round stock...grind it and redo for cosmetic purposes.
