hey gimme back my helmet...


i have that helmet and love it. i got the black shield but I think the gold shield would bring out the gold in the dog coller spikes. If you don't currently own the helmet yet and need some more detailed pics / up close pics for your paint planning, let me know. it might take a day or two but i'll post them if you need.

if you haven't seen the helmet in person there is an awesome shield logo on the back that all the jar heads i meet love. most think that it is a USMC helmet.

you should check around your area for Vinyl wrapping companies-they could prolly do any desgin you can think up-n when you get tired you can rip it off; or, go full-custom and paint the whole thing *i like the camp seats-nice touch* try to find the exact color of green ICON used so u can match up good, otherwise it'll never blend w/your lid 'just right'.

looks like an awesome idea-ICON has had several bikes repainted to look like their Lids before-I've seen copies of their Skull Motorhead jacket, the Dragon (Legion) jacket, and one based off the new lid w/all the super-hero lookin guys flyin on it...take your time and it should turn out awesome!

I am getting a quote they said give them a week or two. Just from the images I sent them they said it may be somewhere between $1200 - $3500 (paint and powder coating).

So we'll have to see...

First off, very creative and neat front fairing. HID's or PIAA lights should solve your lighting issues.


Vinyl is the wave of the future. I have heard quotes of under $500 for full wraps....no clue where but I have heard them repeatedly. Full comparable paint work would exceed ten times that. Vinyl replicate photographic quality in images that a painter can not compete with.

You mentioned that you get bored easily with the design then vinyl wrap is the way to go.

IMHO the design is FUGLY and green should stay with Kawasaki at all cost.

I just love this paint scheme but can't get anyone to do it. Oh not completely true local guys finally got back to me a week ago they want 3,500 to 4,000. All I could say was wow but no thanks she my girl but pockets not that deep. Searching for a good vinyl shop to help. Thank you again for your thoughts.
