"akira" comes from a japanese anime. Kaneda a guy in the movie has a really hook-up bike(it reminds me of the busa before I got 1) so to make a long story short I loved the movie, got a busa(02' black/blue) and took on the name.



oh yeah AKIRA is the movie name not the bike or the owner of the bike but I like the name akira better then Kaneda. I'm out there like that....

There is actually two ways to do it.
1) click on  "Your Control Panel" located at the top of the page under the Owners Group icon
2) click "Personal Info"
3) click "Avatar Options"
4) at the bottom of the page where it says "Upload your own Avatar" click "Browes".  It will allow you to pick a picture from your hard drive.
5) Once uploaded go to  "Pre-installed avatars" It will be at the bottom of the list.  Click on your picture and click "Add this avatar to my profile"  You are all set

Method 2
If you want to use a picture that you have already uploaded or are going to upload you can use this method
1) once the picture is uploaded to the site open your "upload center"  
2) click on the picture that you want to use and copy the url from the address bar.
3) follow steps 1-3 from above.
4) now where it says " Your image avatars" paste the url in that address bar and click "Add my own image as my avatar"   You are all set.  
 Just remember that if you use this method if you delete the picture from your Upload Center it is deleted from any post that is was used in.

Before the recent infamous 'site crash' I was know as TommyTuTone (a legend in my own mind).

When the light came back on, for some reason (probably user-error) I couldn't log back on as TommyTuTone. Since I work for the US Postal Service I had the urge to go POSTAL (not really).

The name was just convenient. And I would again like to thank Captain for giving me back all of my original post numbers! Thanks Big Guy!

WELL, IT'S QUITE SIMPLE HOW I BECAME KNOW AS WHOA.

I WAS AT HOME ONE DAY CHILL'N. STUNNAH CALLED ME UP AT THE HOUSE AND SAID BRIAN THERE ARE A GROUP OF GUYS HERE AT THE PARK (WHERE HE WAS WORKING ON THIS PARTICULAR SUNDAY) WHO WANT YOU TO COME RIDE WITH THEM. STUNNAH STATED, "I'VE BEEN TELLING THEM SOME OF THE THINGS YOU CAN MAKE THAT BIKE DO BUT THEY DON'T BELIEVE ME SO WHEN YOU COME THROUGH HERE MAKE A LITTLE NOISE". I TOLD STUNNAH I WAS ON MY WAY.

AS I APPROACHED THE SECTION OF THE PARK WHERE THE BIKES WERE, I WENT THROUGH MY BAG OF TRICKS IN MY MIND. I DECIDED THAT I'D JUST PULL UP TO THEM ON THE FRONT WHEEL AND AS SOON AS THE REAR WHEEL HITS THE GROUND I'LL GO RIGHT INTO A SMILEY FACE BURNOUT. AND THAT'S JUST WHAT I DID.

DURING THE SHOW THAT I WAS PUTTING ON FOR THE CROWD, I COULD HERE A LOT OF WWWWWHHHHHOOOOOOAAAAA'S.

STUNNAH SAID WHILE I WAS PERFORMING THAT WWWHHHOOOAAA WAS ALL HE COULD HEAR. HE SAID FROM NOW ON THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO CALL YOU BECAUSE YOU SURELY KNOW HOW TO WHOA THE CROWD.

Before I came here I had a built V Max, I went by the handle of Mad V Max on another board. What can I say I liked the movie Mad Max. Well along came the Busa and the once very nasty and hairy running V Max became slow.. (I never thought that would ever happen) Everyone I talked to on the computer knew me as Max.... Well when Your known as Max and ya just bought the fastest bike on the planet (Red & Silver) it was not hard to come up with Max Speed! Now I hang out here.....
