kickstand

I've seen some negative comments about yana-shiki stuff here;should I not use the short busa kickstand from them.I'd hate to see my baby on it's side.

You need to inspect it and if you feel it's alright use it. I always park my bike to try and prevent problems with the factory stand. If the yana-shiki fails, just sue the shid out of them

be careful with some of their stuff.....their pegs are ok don't know about the kickstand.

along the same subject, i bought a set of lowering links from ebay and didn't realize that they were yana shiki and i was wondering if they would be alright because i don't really know how much stress they really hold and i really don't want to know what happens if they fail or crackim thinkin about just buying a set of vortex ones

I saw a thread where someones lowering links broke at speed, it
wasn't pretty ! (I don't know what kind they were though ?) Something
like that I would be real careful with, you might not get a second chance
if they go out on you............just my 2 cents

forum. i for one will not buy or use any of their products. i trust you
guys and i don't want or need any problems due to poor quality
products. there's too much good stuff out there. nothing but the
best for my new busa- i love her too much.

I've seen a few of their stands and talking with the owners no reports of problems, links too. Now their multi-piece triple I wouldn't recommend, the bar mounts if not checked periodically can loosen and cause major problems.

I have Yana Shiki's Short Hayabusa Kickstand on my both 2 Busas , never had a problem ... You can adjust to different lengths 5.5-7 inches ...

I have a triple tree upper from them and so far so good.

I have their lowering links which have been on my bike for at least a year now. I heard a few of the comments (in here) about their products not being safe so before I put them on I searched and searched using Google, Yahoo ect. for any info on their products failing. Nothing turned up except for a few "my cousins friend on another forum used them and...." insert your favorite catastrophic failure story.

Can someone provide at least one link showing that even one of their products have failed?

There's also no suing over something like lowering links or triple trees as every US manufacturer typically has the CYA clause "for show use only" stated in catalogs and packaging.

As far as the kickstand goes, when I lowered my bike I bought another stock stand off ebay dirt cheap and ground down the stop (kickstand mod taken even further). It now has a perfect lean angle and locks forward like it should have from the factory. If I decide to put it back to stock height, I just put the original stand back on.

thanks guys;I may go turbo's route and find a stock stand to modify;my inner busa says not to put that kanji-cut stand on.

One of my NC brothers cold bent his stocker. I wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't pointed it out.
