Kevin (vman1300) needs us more than ever

I went by lastnight after work and was able to chat with Kevin a little,

The family is praying that they release him soon.

I asked if there was anything he wanted me to relay to the board here.

He said no, then he told me. "Tell them I'm sorry I won't be there next week."

Guys and girls, if your able, try & see him soon.

His family is very strong through all this. I believe it's for a lot of reasons but I know for a fact it's because Kevin is at peace with what is to come. And his strength and courage at the face of death is something I pray I'll be able to have in me when my time comes to meet my Lord.

Ya know guys ,a few friends and I went to see Kevin today and what we saw will remind us to enjoy every minute and ever second of our lives till we meet our maker.

Seeing Kevin at peace but yet frustrated at the situation of the prolonged inevitable is what hurts the most.

Kevin's manager just sent a message to me. He said that Kevin is at home. Kevin's brother, and Brenda are both there with him.

Kevin has stopped talking, and just looks around. From what his manager has said, he believes it won't be long before Kevin goes to his permanant home.

The positive is that Kevin is on pain meds. Not only that, but with the cancer he has, when the time comes, he will simply drift off to sleep.

I hate to post such negative news, but it is the truth.

May God comfort Kevin, Brenda, and the rest of their family and friends.

I think we are all lucky as a group that we got to pass our best wishes to Kevin while he could still appreciate them.. he has touched a lot of people here and I for one am really glad he got to know this first hand..
