I just got back from doing a test run and noticed my speed was varying between between 1 to 5 mph difference when climbing and decending on hilly roads. On the st8 away she rolled smooth as silk maintaining a steady speed.
The only thing concerned me was when I pulled the clutch in she (Medusa) would rev about 2 grand above set RPM (speed).

I'll post a easy to read DIY later in the Mod section with plenty of photos.

Hell yeah baby !!!

Couldn't have done it with out you and BusaW (Dennis) help.

Also, Nathan, tell your dad I did find another way without using a relay for those running a LED brake light. All you need to do is put a load (resistor) on the purple line coming off the servo to ground.
Thanks for your motivation, Pimpn, I dont think I would have attempted to doing this mod if it wasnt for you taking the plung initially !

Glad it all worked out for you. I prefr to kick it off with the brake instead of the clutch. With only pulling the signal from 1 coil, the solinoid thinks that 2K RPM jump is only 500.

Now that its working, you need to point the Busa west and set it. I expect to see your pimp azz in St. Louis this summer playa.

South will work also.

Shoulda called a brotha today playa, it was awfully nice out there.

Don't our bikes have a starter kill switch that won't allow you to try to start the bike unless you have the clutch engaged? If so, couldn't you tap into that for an extra cruise kill? Just a thought.

A bad choice of word to use, I meant to have said disengage. The servo unit C/C will disengage when the brake, clutch or reset button are activated.

Sorry Brian but I only had enough time to test the install. In between the C/C installation I'm putting all my extra time into another project for a member here that I would like to try and finish it up over this weekend, since the weather is ideal and he's been waiting patiently.

Thats very good. Pretty much what I was tellin ya about the speed variance. All cruise controls from a "radar" perspective
smile.gif
will increase speed up hill and decrease speed down hill and be 1-4 mph for that time period and pretty dead on on st8's.

Glad ya got it worked out. Tac or sensor connection when it was all said and done?

U were right once again, Icebaby. As for the speed sensing, I just pick up a signal from the tac.

Sweeet Ty, now on your way either West or East swing by the Meet-N-Greet II in September!

Now that's a sweet Mod ... a true auto-like cruise control ... you're a genius Bro ... you keep on challenging yourself to do things bigger and better. You need to open up a shop and make a little $$$$ on the side!!

Thanks for the kind words, DJ ! But I think I'll pass on being a slave to the trade. If I was to consider taking a leap into doing somthing like this, my business hours would display open from Nov to April.
