I just finished getting quotes for my annual insurance "bite in the a_ _"
To compare apples to apples here are the details
100/300, uninsured motorist, towing and standard medical
Progressive (my old insurance carrier)for the past 3 years = $660/yr.
State Farm = $670/yr.
Dairyland = $447/yr.
Can you say MOOOOOOOO!
It's interesting that my Progressive rep had nothing to say when I told him I may need to shop around, and the State Farm rep said "that's the best I can do".
So, I guess for a SOCAL quote, full coverage it's not too bad. I might add that I'm a licensed motorcycle pilot since 1964, no accidents or claims ever, and no tickets in the past 3 years.
One thing interesting is that Dairyland doesn't offer a discount for my AMA membership.... they do for HOG and GWRRA (Goldwing..), and others but not for the AMA. Perhaps because the AMA is a thorn in their side? If so, I'm a life member!
