In-helmet display?

Has anyone devised an in-helmet display system for a motorcycle? Can you imagine the safety enhancements that would be present if you never had to look down at your cluster? Speed, fuel, radar detector indicator, etc.

has anyone ever made such a system that works with a motorcycle?

Yes, it's called a "Headsup Display" or "HUD"...
I've also seen a helmet from the UK w/ a rearview mirror inside it w/ the use of ambient light and mirrors. Pretty cool.
