SportVue MC2 Group Purchase

Anyone interested in doing a group purchase for this SportVUE heads up display for the MC2?? I just read this thread here

It seems like a very cool little feature to add to your riding experience. I'm getting a very advanced radar system installed in my Busa because I truly feel naked without a safety net.
Escort's Passport SR7 Radar Detector is the one I picked, but what good is it if you can't hear or see the radar going off??

This MC2 allows you to get a heads up display in your helmet that shows you RPM, Speed, Gear, and Radar detection warnings without having to look down so you can always keep your eyes on the road.

FYI, this is not for the purpose of getting the free MC1 they are advertising by selling 4 of them- because that particular one does NOT show radar, and that is the only difference.
Anyone interested please add your name or PM me, and on Monday I'm going to call them and ask them for a group purchase order special pricing and find out what their terms are.
I'm already sold on it, and I would purchase it now, except I figured why not help a few guys out in the process along with myself. Can't hurt to try.

I would, just I have enuff shyttt on my helmet now.  Chatterbox, NOJ quiet rider, cell phone add in, MP3 player on tripple tree w/ cable to helmet.  When passengers (JR) is riding his cable is going to my helmet.

AND if you havnt tried it yet.  Ya gotta try one of these things around your neck.

Keeps ya very cool.  Wish I could mod it to fit onto the helmet.

Anyway.  Add a mesh jacket, some ride pants and YOU HAVE BECOME ROBOCOP/BIKER!

Yeah right!!!!

No thanks. I am not convinced that it will work well on the helmet at speeds. i have not heard from anyone using it yet.

Does anyone know if racing organizations approve of this? (ie. NHRA) I didin't know if they liked the wheel speed sensor or maybe they would say it obstructs your view.

Also, if they do allow it this may be something my motorsports club at school can use for our drag cars so you don't have to look down at the tach.

Does anyone know how hard it is to calibrate this for different wheel sizes?

If you look at the SportVue Manual, it tells you how to calibrate the unit for different wheel sizes.
