Just ordered up 2 of the SportVue MC2's from Mike at Sport Vue (Very friendly I might add). Been reading about the units for sometime, so my father and I decided to give it a try.

The Retail price is $389.00, but on sale for $299.00 until December 31st. Carbon Fiber kit was an extra $9.99 & will cover both devices. Just thought I would give everyone a Heads Up on the pricing & will post a review of the unit once Im able to try it out.

I've been eyeing those for a while. Not sure how obtrusive that thing would be so I am staying clear of them for now. I am very iInterested in your review.

Someone else here (I forget who...sorry) has had one for awhile and posted a review. From what I read in the post, he really liked it, and found it user friendly and unobtrusive.

TruWrecks did a real nice review of the unit...think he used the MC1 / The MC2 will also show your radar.

yeah i'am still thinking about getting one looks cool. lets us know how you like

I just got one for christmas and hooked it up that day, installation took about 3.5 hours I must admit this is the best toy that I purchased in awhile...Easy to see but Im disappointed with how inaccurate my speedo really is...it is off by 9%.....

so...this doesnt rely on the spedo for measuring speed? So I will get an accurate speed with the SportVue, so no need for a speed-o-healer or yellowbox? Im intrested to hear more input

It relies on the circumference of the rear wheel/tire combination and the MC2 calculates the speed.. I thought about a speedo healer, but that idea seems redundant now....

Just curious, have you tested the MC2 with a GPS unit - how accurate is the MC2? Are you also using the Radar feature, and if so how do you like it? Im hooking up an X-50 to is, so Im anxious to see how it works.

Im currently using a Cobra XRS 9700 it works very well, however I plan on a future buy of an Valentine or Escort.... I havent tried to hook up my Garmin GPS as there is no capabilities as yet to tye into the MC2... I spoke wth David at Motion Research and Gps hook up will be coming out in summer 06

well I have one and love it... can't wait to see how they integrate the GPS features, but eh, might even upgrade to it if I can. I'm in their "sportvue 500 team" which basically means I get some upgrade action at times.

I've posted review around here and since its 215am, I'm not gonna get too much into it but I like it, it works great, easy install, not intrusive at all, lots of great features and overall its worth the cash

gear indicator thingy - 100ish
shift light - 100ish depending
yellow box/speedo healer - 100ish

So there ya have it, 3 things in one plus the wicked, "wow man thats cool shid" aspects of it. It pays for itself if you were gonna get those things anyway

PS. it uses old school wheel sensor technology. its low tech but damn accurate, like GPS accurate if you set it up correctly (ie RTFM)
