I guess I just don't get it.....

So I read the attached article today and I guess I'm just old and of another generation because I just don't get this crap we are having to deal with these days..
In the article a high school student was suspended for saying there are only two genders people are born with and apparently a couple transgender people (at the high school age??) didn't agree with him so he was expelled and later arrested for trespassing when he came back to school....

The principle and others delved into the student's on line profiles and saw he was at a few protests and have automatically labelled him.

And it's a Catholic school-a religion which used to be pretty strict in their beliefs...I guess the woke have got to them as well..

Where will it all end I wonder?

....and here we in Canada will be more and more oppressed to express any freedom of speech...

There are people out there who believe residential schools were designed to save indigenous children from starving, freezing to death and going through life uneducated....these people will have to stop believing this or face breaking a law if this becomes a law...

We also have an islamophobia law here...if anyone says something against Muslim people we can be charged under the criminal code.

If said something involves a threat of violence, I agree with that law. We have the same understanding in the U.S. Islamophobia. Interesting term. I have a bit of a phobia about fanaticism in any religion.

We already have laws regarding violence against others or property...

There are a lot of personal viewpoints on residential schools....my mother was in one and her stories differ from what we see on the media...

If she were to express her real time experiences and they didn't meet the narrative, she could be going against this law...

Yeah I was referring to talking about or threatening to commit violence. It's an exception to freedom of speech.

My guess is this is simply another totalitarian play to indoctrinate the youth in Canada. The "Thought Police" in positions of power will legislate away your free speech rights as fast as you will give them up. These people were once considered public servants. Now they want to rule over you and tell you how its going to be or else.

This current Canadian government has been called a socialist and the leader (Trudeau) has been called a dictator...all by other world leaders....

He is systematically dismantling all that is Canadian.
