How often do you buy a new bike

Just wondering how often do you buy the latest bikes?

I will probably buy once every four years.

I think this the last one, dude. 2001 rumors are restricted, and I have this thing running so good, I'm NEVER SELLING THIS BIKE. ever. Maybe find another engine and rebuild it with stroker crank(blahblah) but this is the cat's meow for me.

8 bikes in the last 5 years. Worst (best?!) case was 2 new bikes in 89 days. No wonder it took me so many years to move out of Detroit and get into the burbs!

Been riding for 30 years now. Different bike ever 2-3 years untill I bought the 93 FZR 1000, rode it for 7 summers. I loved it untill the day I sold it (which was last week). Now that I have 3000 miles on my Busa I am loving it more than I imagined. May ride it forever!!!!! Sport bike rule! Cruiser are for the dead.

I average about 4.5 years between bikes.Last one was Gixxer 1100 bought new in'90 before this one though.

I average about 54,200 miles between bikes.
My '92 Seca II lasted 38,900 miles before being stolen.
My '92 VFR (bought in '95 with 330 miles on the clock) went 69,500 miles before I fell asleep from boredom on it. (Actually, the first 35,000 miles were enjoyable, then it got boring.)

37 new bikes in 35 years of riding. 4 new ones last year and 2 so far this year.

THis is my first new any machine. always used to buy rubbish and do it up, flog it !!

Thought I would treat myself, but it has got to last a bloody long time!!........didn't like the "new machine buying experience" thanks to a crap dealer. don't want to do that again thank you very much!

Only had 3 new bikes, 1 was a project bike built from new/used parts (7/11 Turbo) and the other 2 (98 ZX-9R and '99 Busa) Bought the 9 because it was sexy and fitted me better than an R1, bought the Busa 'cos the 9 was written off by a car.
