I have a 08 thats been lowerd and just wondering how far can I strectch it with the stock tail on it. I heard the rear wheel may hit the tail light etc.
Without rubbing you can go to about 4". I had to run my suspension stiff to keep off the tail light and I just got a +6" tailsection and no longer have this problem.
You must not be lowered in the rear at all because it didn't take me much at all to bottom out on it. I was rubbing through the taillight and the undertail
i'm strectched out 7-8" never rubbed make sure you get some adjustable dogbones from Soupy, and I just got a 6"+ tail from airtech . they are $228 very nice and I got the one where you can still use the hump.
Guys there is a huge difference in the rubbing on a gen one and gen two. I forgot to mention on the airtech tail you will have to mold our tail light and turn signals in place but your painter should be able to do it.
Was your bike lowered. I would love to be able to run the stock tail but from what I'm reading from the others on here it will rub if
Im lowered and streched. By the way love the pics of the bikes guys
