CONGRATS...Kids are the greatest. I have twin boys that just turned 17 last Saturday. A 12yr old daughter, a 9 year old son, and a 10 month old baby boy.

I'm betting 7lbs, 9ozs.........18.5'' long

They just gave her some kind of hormone stuff that will make her contractions more regular, hopefully get the progress going, waiting waiting

Good luck to Mom...contractions HURT. I sure hope she's not playing hero and opts for the drugs like I did!!! Man I loved those drugs!!

And don't wait too long for the epidural! My wife got brave, then got chicken really quickly when it reallllly started to hurt; I had to hold her thru the epi and she had a contraction in the middle of it....

I still remember vividly 10 years later when my daughter first grabbed my pinky and held it in her little hands - you could have shocked me with a cattle prod. One of the most vivid memories of my life.

If she gets the epi it will be over in less than an hour.....It relaxes her and lets her body do what it needs too. My mife spent 6.5 hours with little to no movment, I got her to take the epi and we were done 45 mins later...she was only at 4cm when she got the epi too.

My wife and I have a little girl almost 5 months old now, it's the greatest thing ever.
Here's some encouragement.
We got to the hospital at 8am on a Friday so the Dr. could enduce labor. Labor began before midnight Saturday, and she born at 2:50am Sunday!
I hope you don't have to wait as long as we did...and my wife said, "You should have brought the laptop".
