Gun Ban list released

taxation without representation:whistle:

If we all become felons....who gets to vote?

Anyone that voted Obama, does all all a favor... explain how this change is good....

I know the vast majority of crimes committed with these guns are by registered law abiding owners right?

difference between a Socialist and a Communist country is that the Communists do not have "legal" guns...

I am going to go invest in a pallet of bricks before they are outlawed too...

Let them try. It will knock the Democratic party back into the stone age if they even try to pass it. A majority of Americans support the 2nd amendment, and will vote against their own party if forced to. Is gold for the Republicans to repair their tanished image.

I've got bricks...but the shipping's going to be bad....

As far as the gun thing, much like a non motorcyclist doesn't understand why we do what we do, I won't pretend to understand why someone would want to own the guns on that list. My perspective is that if it makes it a little harder for mean spirited people to get them, it's good for this goose, if not for the gander.

this is gateway legislation... if you look to the list, what is next will be any semi-auto handgun or shotgun..

No one needs a motorcycle over 100hp, and in a few regions of Europe you can not get one.. No it is not a gun, but it is a deadly weapon to have a 200hp bike.. Is it more or less deadly than a 100hp bike? and who determines this..

This is some scary stuff they are about to ram down the throats of the US citizen.. Sure people will support a ban on "dangerous" things... the question is, who decides what is dangerous?

People that are "personally accountable" do not do bad things as a rule... it is people that were brought up with lousy morals and no compass to direct their actions.. Maybe we should ban "bad parents" next...

If they ever do ban guns.....will policemen need to carry them? What about CIA, FBI, Secret Service, .....etc.

If they increase tax on the bullets.....who pays for the added costs to LEO training?

Will an increase affect military ammo? Who pays that?

I see a great potential for black market.

Remember Prohibition? they were going to save the common man from himself... boy did that backfire..

some will say this is just paranoia... but I grew up with guns living in AZ.. we could go to the store, buy a box of ammo and go shooting (we were not even teenagers yet) If anyone would have said, "there will be a day you can not go into the store and buy a box of ammo" we would have laughed.. well go buy a box of 9mm or 45c stuff... there is none to be had for the most part... this is not just a fluke.. paranoid? maybe but sure is convenient...

Yep, I have similar pre-teenage memories, we would walk down the neighborhood street with our guns, headed to the woods for target practice. We would be arrested today.:banghead:

Why does the thought of a group of preteens with guns worry me? I stand by my opinion that to own and use a gun, a person should be licensed, much like we are to ride a motorcycle or drive a car.

hunting and shooting was part of my growing up.. we were taught young about firearms and how (and how not to) use them.. I got my first rifle for my 12th birthday and I got my first handgun the next year..

We also learned safe shooting at the local YMCA along with archery and rock throwing  There really was a time when people taught their kids about the serious things of life instead of just buying them anything/everything they asked for and calling it "parenthood"

I guess that they took away all the small bikes for kids now is a good thing? I sure have a lot of memories as a little guy riding minibikes and dirtbikes..

on AFWIW... I currently own no guns at all... I have had a good number of them over the years however.. just no need currently until the revolt starts... then I will do what any good criminal would.... steal one or import from Mx...

I just checked the NRA site and this isnt on there. Im thinkin this list is bogus.

Oh and if you own a gun then you need to be an NRA member. Their the only ones fighting for our rights. Lifetime member here. Remeber its a small cost to protect your rights.

I belonged to the NRA. I let my membership expire.

I live in California and I don’t see what the NRA has done for me.

I can get a CCW

My dad owns a pre-ban AR-15. He cant sell it to me, he cant give it to me and he was told when he dies he either needs to have the rifle burried with him or turn it over to the feds, he cant even give it to me in death legally.

I cant posses any clips that hold over.. I think 9 rounds? or is it 8 rounds?

I have a Kel-Tek SU-16 and I have to have these stupid little baby clips in them

My 9mm looks kind of stupid with its short a$$ clip

I cant get one of those cool silencers for my guns.

Arizona gun laws are way more liberal than California’s. when I went to Arizona a few years ago I contacted the local Sherrifs department to enquire about the legal way to carry my gun I had brought with me, once I told the officer I was from California he actually laughed on the phone and told me Arizona didn’t have the stupid laws that California had about guns. Then he proceeded to inform me what was required in Arizona. Which makes WAYYYY more sense that California laws.

So yeah, California gun laws are a joke it seems in neighboring states.

So if the NRA cannot even protect my gun rights in one state when the surrounding states have more common sense laws, what good is the NRA? They apparently do not have the power it takes to enact any kind of change in one state much less the federal government.

So as far as I am concerned the NRA has let me down here in California. I even contacted them and they told me I needed to contact my local NRA rep in California, and the local NRA rep said nothing can be done.

BTW, the specific reason I had contacted them was in reference to the desert eagle 50 magnum. Not only is it illegal to posses a desert eagle 50mag in California, they have a special desert eagle 44 mag I think that is a California model. (if I remember right, all 50cal guns are now banned in California (I think, I haven’t pursued trying to get one for a few years now))

And when I purchased my Kel-Tek Su16, they had the regular model, then they had a California model.

If the NRA is worth anything they will be able to stop another federal ban, if they cant and the government is able to go through with another ban, then as far as I am concerned the NRA is worthless and is not able to provide any benefit to me personally.

Once I see and am made aware of anything the NRA has done that has benefited gun owners by protecting our rights I might consider becoming a member again. But so far, at least in California I don’t see ANYONE protecting my gun rights and being successful

Walk into Mandalls Shooting supplies in Scottdale and tell them you are from California.. You will be walked to the door without any conversation and asked not to return..

Reason: Liability... things are bad for people from CA that the rest of the world finds acceptable.. (they have an indoor shooting range that in the state of CA , is known to cause cancer or some other idiot bs..)

I own firearms and see no problem with an assault weapon ban, who needs a AK-47, Mac -10 or Uzi unless your about to wage a small war because none of these weapons are home protectors, just like a street sweeper they are designed for one thing maximum carnage. That is the same list from the 1994 Federal assault weapons ban if I'm not mistaken. The current administraion is not even worrying about it and there is no dem support for it in congress.

I think the whole "their going to take our guns away campaign" has been an excellent marketing tool for gun makers playing on the fears of a population that is easily talked into fear, all have seen record profits, NRA membership has sky rocketed. So keep fearing that our doors will be kicked in and all firearms seized, it's making hefty profits for companies.

To borrow a phrase from the liberal dems,

Don't blame me, I voted for Mc.

In fact, I voted for Mc twice as Senator of AZ, 3x in Pres primaries, and once for Prez, making it 6 times overall.

So don't blame me, I voted for Mc.

Randy I have no doubt you were properly shown how to use a gun and understanded the responsibilities involved, but to assume everyone is afforded the same is a little shaky to say the least. Minibikes? No, I don't agree with that ban at all. Sure bikes are dangerous, but not to the extent that guns are. Kids not understanding, or taking the time to consider, where the bullet will go if you miss the target is only one way I've seen gun tragedies occur in my area. I'm not anti gun, just pro CAREFUL.

The comparison of motorcycles and a damn ak47 or whatever gun is your "favorite" means of "target practice" is just plain stupid. I can understand someone wanting a firearm to protect their house and family......more power to you. But the need for an arsenal.......i don't see it. Just my opinion.

It has more to do with Government control than anything.

What if they said your kids under the age of 15 cannot operate any type of motorcycle or motor vehicle and you are only allowed to own 1 and it has to be smaller than 750cc. To say it cant happen...is the same as the gun arguement. Oh,.....and it has already started with the 50cc rule.

People need to be repsonsible for their own and not let the Government keep adding rules to how we need to live according to them and make us al linto criminals by not abiding.:banghead:
