Glue for shield?

Trying to stick a little plastic tab, made from a gopro helmet mount, on the bottom of my shield because the tab for raising the shield is tiny and difficult with gloves.

So far I've tried the original tape from the gopro mount, 3m VHS tape, both thick and thin, and super glue. All hard fails.

Ideas?

VHB tape, with their adhesion promoter! You can buy the 3M wipes at most auto paint stores or Shamazon.
