Me too! I have a gen1 and a gen2.... i much perfer my gen1!

Sorry, but the nicest way I can say this it is I think your smoking crack... ;)

Upgraded from my 06 to the new 2011 and its nothing but better. I love this bike! So much easier to manuver and handle. Rides smoother and the added HP is just the icing on the cake. Gear indicator and dash are night and day better over the Gen I. ABC switch kicks :moon: with having a passenger on board.

I would never go back after riding the new Gen II unless it was a money issue and I wanted to still be on a busa.

I only have two complaints if any for the Gen II compared to the Gen I. The storage compartment sucks in its space which im going to mod. And my gas tank seems to empty a little faster. (Lead Wrist)

I don't buy the "If it ain't broke why fix it" argument. There's generation after generation of GSXR's that weren't broke either, and look where they are today. However, with that said, I think Suzuki is such a conservative company from a business aspect that an upgrade to the Busa is waaaay down the list of things that would help solidify the health of the company. Couple that with the effects of the tsunami and it's a pretty safe bet that we will only see color changes and mild mods in the near future. GO HOPKINS!!!!

if they did anything they should release a few different models.
a tour model, with raised bars, bigger tank, and bag options.
a refined gen 2, with better brakes, and upgraded traction control and honest 200hp.
a Turbo model, with stage 1 turbo, all above upgrades, and turbo upgrade options.
keep all the body parts the same for ease of replacement.

there ya go. thats my 2 cents.:beerchug:

I have no idea what VolksWagon would or wouldn't let Suzuki do. But if they call and ask I will mention: A. I love my K9 B. Only ABS would sway me to get a new bike

1. 200HP to the wheel
2. SELF CANCELING TURN SIGNALS (40YR OLD TECHNOLOGY)
3. ABS
4. Shift assist
5. A more upright seat position.

That's it for me.

I can't believe the bikes don't have canceling turn signals. Idiots at Suzuki! ABS is a MUST also.

Self-cancelling signals is really the only thing that I would like to have on my bike. I find myself randomly thumbing the signal cancelling as I ride to make sure I am not one of those people that drives me nuts.

Put some of what went into the bmw rr and youve got yourself one hell of a bike, but i dont think that will be anytime soon, suzuki would clean up if one could preorder lets say a turbo,or supercharger, you know like on a car, just a dream:bowdown:

i think your list is good, but one problem....the weight. if you add traction control and abs you will be adding weight. several pounds in fact. so if you want the electronics then you will have to sacrifice weight. this bike will never be close to 500 lbs factory especially if they just tack on the new electronics. it would take alot of engineering to get it under 500 lbs as it is and still be street legal.

Ready for Gen-III.

I bet it will be years before we see a new model. Too successful of a bike. Why change it.

Yes it is a successful bike, maybe even the best of all time! Now it's :thumbsup:not the fastest bike as it was intended, you now have several 1000cc bikes that are now faster. It is time to up the antie, perhaps a GSXR1500?

Yeah, me too DoT, me too. I really can't think of a single thing I'd change for the way I ride. I know many members would like brakes that bite more, but the standard ones are fine for me.

Actually, there is one thing...plastics that just unbolt please!

I disagree, it is the fastest bike by a long shot. Linky

I say again:
Here in Europe - EEU - all new motorcycles over 125 cc sold after January 1st 2013 must have ABS system and comply with a new, more demanding pollution law witch the current hayabusa does not.
And with those ABS sensors on the wheels I guess that traction control is inevitable.
Powerwise, numbers always go up, not down.
And right now the fastest and most powerful bike one can buy is a BMW, so I guess there's, at least, a major update coming.

Well if all the talk about the new 2012 zx14 is to believed ( not that i will subscribe to all the hype ), then Suzuki will need to up there game and bring out a bike that can equal or better the new machines that will be launched soon. Most likely more electronic gizmo's, better brakes ( Brembo calipers, like the new GSXR 600/750 and the new 1000 to be release in the near future ) increased HP but reduced emissions. Just maybe a restylin of the rear would also make it more appealing to a larger market.

Oh man...you mean they're gonna have to reduce the busa to 125cc?
