Friend passed away today

Fiona (my wife) called me about an hour ago to tell me that her friend, Aloma, called this morning to say she lost her husband Dan.

It was either last night, or this morning. We're still waiting for the official details. Dan had been diagnosed with Parkinson's, and was having difficulties getting around by himself. I guess God decided to end his suffering today.

Aloma is hanging in there pretty well. It's going to be a tough Christmas. We'll be going to visit her next week to see if she needs anything.

(I guess my week isn't going so bad.)

I lost a friend on Thanksgiving day, so i can relate.

Dan is now at rest. Prayers for comfort go out for his wife and friends.
 
Sorry to hear bro, but there is comfort in knowing someone had a relationship with the Father.

To be absent from the body is to present with the Lord.
 
My thoughts go out to his family and your friends....may he be in a better place....
 
It always saddens me to hear when someone passes from this life. My prayers go out for the surviving family and friends. Parkinson's DZ is such a cruel illness. At least his suffering is done. RIP Dan.

I'm sorry to hear that Doug! Parkinson's is a sad disease. I have seen it a lot in my career and have lost many.
