Tried searching but couldn't find what I'm looking for, so...

The exhaust pipe on my 99 Busa ends about 5" from the lower back edge of the fairing. I'd like to buy just a canister and make my own S bend so I can position it the way I want. I saw some references to HMF but don't care for their style. I was looking for something more along the lines of Two Brothers (just an example)... thinking something oval shaped with 2.5" inlet.

Are there any guidelines I should follow since this is a turbo setup (i.e. hotter exhaust) or can I just get anything I want. For example, aluminum vs carbon vs titanium, the general construction of the canister, the length of the canister, etc. I'm more interested in looks and how long it lasts rather than the horepower gain/loss between brands and styles.

I'd also be interested in ways to make the connections clean looking and easier to install/remove if possible.

Thanks.

The pipe dia. should be your concern for a turbo exhaust. HMF bigbird is the can to use...as for the piping..use what come with it. Think this is the same set up RCC sells for full exhausted turbos? If you dont the can so long...just cut it down ( easy to do )!

smithbusa... by "cost a ton of hp" I assume your referring to the core diameter. I did notice the Two Brothers have a 2.25" stainless steel power core. I'm trying to stay at 2.5" all the way through. Problem is I'm not familiar with what's out there so any other help would be appreciated.

BigRod1300... I haven't written HMF off and I appreciate your input, but I'm not impressed with the lack of tech info on their website and prefer not to have a round canister. Is yours a minimun of 2.5" throughout?

Any other manufacturers that I might want to look at?

The only big oval canister I know of is from MC Xpress, it is a real high quality piece, with billet end caps, 2.5" straight through,

Thanks 2wicked... I'll check it out. I also think I found two others (oval and 2.5" core), both from Roaring Toyz... one is polished stainless steel and the other is carbon fiber. I'll make some calls early in the week. Thanks.

In the meantime if anyone else knows of any other sources, I'd really appreciate knowing about them.
