I think they are lazy and shody and ain't gonna do anything. That's just my prediction. Scott has the most contact with them. His advice is probably the one to follow. No matter what, Sam is the loser in this deal. All he can do is try to loose the least. If I was Sam I would go ahead and give them one more chance (I know it sounds crazy), if for nothing else it gives you more legal power for giving them the oportunity to make it right. You have to get it fixed by someone no matter what. If they are capable of doing this properly, which it sounds like they are capable of it, than surely they would get it right this time. If they don't you can still do the legal route and have a better chance of judgement for atleast allowing them to rectify it.

If Kevin's given the option of touching Sam's bike again to make this situation right, it need's to be on Kevin's dime, at Sam's convenience, & on a definitive schedule/timetable!!

Kevin needs to put himself in Sam's shoes, come pick up the bike...HIMSELF, and do whatever it takes to make sure the bike is, and REMAINS perfect this time. He then needs to bring the bike back to Sam.

Sam should miss no more work or obligations because of this fiasco, or expend any more time/money

what a lack of communication?? how hard is it or how long do you need to let someone know your going to make it right??? vise grip marks, phillips screws!!! they wouldn`t touch my bike again. as some others have said the only solution i see is them getting you another set of plastics and whatever else they screwed up and once you receive that you can send them your crappy peeling stuff so they can hang it on their shop wall as a reminder of what can happen when you hurry and do crap work...then let the org brothers hook up a paint kit for ya and let one off these guys paint ur up for ya and get the wife to hook up the decals. probably turn out cool as hell and you would be riding !!!of course thats assuming XXX doe`s the right thing... what a mess dude, really sorry this happened to ya..

And again, I would like to point out the fact that the never applied the blue transparent solor to the front fender and hump. How dumb looking is that? Not Sam's choice! XXX promised to do the makeover bike, Sam won the contest fare and square, you guys fugged it all up on him. Now you azzholes better make it up to him. I shouldn't have to paint his fukkin plastics for him you azzholes.... PAY UP!

Okay guys,
I am locking this thread temporarily. What we need to keep in mind is that the Ball is to a certain extent in XXX's court to make good, butif they come here and all we are doing is beating them down; well it won't help Sam if they just stop coming here. Sam will be taken care of, one way or another - let's let things rest for a day or two and see what XXX comes up with.

If I see other threads about this popping up, I will zap them as fast as I see them. I am not trying to hide info or push this away... just give it a little time to cool so that rational decisions can be made.

It was obvious from the beginning that I was going to be responsible for getting my bike fixed but I gave parties involved more than enough time to respond to my emails and phone calls.  They didn't.  

Soooooo, I got a phone call from BigGeorge a few days ago.  Seems that one of the EBC members(frootloops) read about my situation and wants to help.  He offered to paint my bike in whatever color I want.  All I have to do is ship the plastics to his shop and pay for paint.  Gotta be kidding right?  Nope.  Called him up and talked with him for about an hour, great guy.  

This is a great solution for me but it got even better.  This morning I got a PM from BigGeorge, he informs me that he will be covering the cost of the paint for me.  WTF!!!  George has already been more than helpful but arranging this with frootloops and then paying for it too is going above and beyond.

Only thing remaining to be fixed from the nightmare are the calipers and runeight is on that for me.  Still hasn't told me what I owe him though

Anyway, thank you all for your offers to help, the well wishes, etc.  Also, thanks to those of you who took the time to PM me with your offers.  All is very appreciated.

Major props to frootloops, BigGeorge, John, Brendan and MCMustang for going above and beyond.  You guys have been extremely helpful and I am very grateful.

Very appreciated John.  Somehow the bolt brake line bolt(brake line to caliper) on the chromed caliper was overtightened and the head stripped.

 So as soon as I get that off I'll be sending the complete set to ya.


Anyone have one of those bolts?

I have said before that the reality is that the .oRg and EBC are inextricably linked; this is proof of that. The door has never been completely closed from either side; though admittedly it has come close. I want to thank George for going well beyond what is required of him... it is good to see the members being taken care of.

Just hang on to everything for now. When you get the calipers mounted send everything back. If you need a Banjo bolt just keep one off the set I'm sending you.

You never know. You might be getting new SS lines.
