Corbin Seats

Besides their horrible customer service and outrageous wait times, for all those who have Corbin Seats, how do you like them? Looking for a seat for long touring (up to 800 miles a day) and am stuck between Corbin or Tobin.

from my understanding of them, tobin has someone do the work for him....and that guy actually has his own business doing them(and cheaper), i saw it on here earlier. give me a minute, let me find it

I had a corbin on a previous bike and was very happy with it. Not sure how they are on the Busa though ???

I love my Tobin. I sent it in to him in the dead of Winter & got it back in little over a week.

Just curious, what experience(s) have you had with Corbin to say there "Customer service is horrible"?

Just curious if you have ever dealt with Corbin in the past ???

Not a "authorized dealer" but directly with Corbin...I have been dealing
with them for almost two months now and I am VERY impressed with their
company, quality of their products and their commitment to customer service
has been 1st rate

P.S They are using my bike and another board members bike to develope the Gen2 "Beetle Bags"

+1,000

I like my GenII corbin seat. It took 2 weeks to get it and I selected custom fabrics for no extra fees. I have about 200 miles on it so far and its so much more comfrontable.

Later this summer I will be riding up to New Image seat's with Bigrod1300 to get a Tobin seat made from my oem. I will know which seat is the best by the end of the summer.

I still have the fabric samples from Corbin if anyone is interested in seeing them

No experience whatsoever. From what I've read on the forums I've come across more negative than positive feedback for Corbin. This thread has me even more confused now from everyone's positive feedback

Shoot Sergio Medeiros an email: sergio@corbin.com or phone 1-800-223-4332 ext 316. Like I said he hooked me up with samples and he said it would take 3-5 weeks to get the seat since it was custom fabrics and it showed up in two weeks. I ordered the seat last month.

FYI: I did alot of research prior to purchasing the Corbin. I never got a good Idea on what was better about a 50/50 response Corbin/Tobin. There was more of a negative response on the Gen I busas for the Corbin. But no negative responses on the Gen II corbins. I have never seen a negative response for the Tobins seat GenI or GenII. This is why I'm bighting the bullet and Purchasing both and evaluating both for a fall report.

I am dealing 'directly' with Corbin...I have even met Mike Corbin. There
are many authorized dealers for Corbin products...

Corbin has been making seats for over 40 years and their products are
being used all over the world :dunno: they must be doing something right.

Also, they don't modify your seat...they make a NEW one from scratch. You
don't have to send them your seat and wait for it to ride your bike.

Gen 1 Corbin here and love it.. I can do 700/800 mile days or 1850 in three days no problem.. I ride don't own no trailer.
No experience with Tobin at all.. :dunno:

I am going to contact CORBIN to see if they can send me some seat material samples to Canada.:beerchug:

Well i for one have been using Corbin seats for several years. Just put one on my K8 that is only 3 weeks old, with the back rest for my wife.
When I ordered, they said 4 weeks for delivery, it was on the bike in 1.5 weeks. Love the seat.
