Cold Starting RPM with full choke

Question,
I was wondering what I should expect for RPM with full
choke and temperatures between 30 and 40 F. I'm only getting
about 2000 RPM which seems on the low side. I'm taking the
bike in for its first service in a couple of days and I was going
to ask the service guy but I thought I would check the board to see if I could get any feedback...

I think mine is slightly under 2k....

mine runs right around 2k on full choke.

Choke is the wrong term for it. It is an Idle advance. yes under 2k.

You are better off holding the throttle at 3500 for 1 minute.

Correct. It is basically a limited range idle controller. I only use mine for starting it if my bike shuts off after a few seconds, and that's only for 10-20 seconds.
