M using synthetic brake fluid, exceeds dot 4, for the clutch..is this wrong??

DOT 4 is what it calls for.It says you can mix dot 4 with 3 but not the other way around.I used DOT 3 in the back brake because its all I had at the time but I flushed it real good.

DOT 5.1 is fully synthetic. You can use it but you must flush all of the old brake fluid out. Fully synthetic brake fluid does not absorb moisture like DOT 3 and 4

TRUST ME !! DON"T DO IT !!, i did and it was a mistake ... You can't flush the system without stripping the components ... Your system is designed for DOT 4 and that is what you should stick with ...if you need a higher temp fluid use Motul 600. It is DOT 4 but has a higher limit than DOT 5 or 5.1

I agree.Dont use DOT 5.The seals wont last.Stick with DOT 4 and just flush it good.
