My friend and I just got are 08 busa wheels chromed by classic componets in cali, I hope they hold up. Don't feel bad my $1,800 rim from performance machine is peeling also, but they will redo the rim for me, good luck..

The repair or replacement does not include cost of installation, labor, or freight cost of returning the product to Chrome Pros Plating facility.

This warranty does not transfer to the subsequent owner(s) of the product.

   * Damage caused by neglect
   * Damage caused by improper installation
   * Damage caused by use of abrasive or corrosive materials
   * Damage caused by accident, attempted theft, or abnormal use.

So what part of the warranty did you void?
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the topic started buy from sport chrome, not CHROME PROS.  Or were you just telling him what he could have had.
The thread started by saying don't by from sport chrome.....Then he asked if anyone knew a good company to go through, so I suggested Chrome Pros Plating...Only reason is I have personal knowledge with their return policy & then standing by what they say...Again, not sure how it would work with someone actually painting over the center part of the rim...Seem the part that flaked wasn't even a painted part but rather just a chrome part...Faulty prep work most likely on sport chrome side....

Yes i want it to be clear, the wheels were chromed at Sportchrome not chrome pros plating. I was gonna get them from Chrome pros but i went with Sportchrome. BIG mistake! I just droped them an email on ebay we will see what they say. I wish i could change my feedback with them. I would like everyone on ebay to know how much crap there chrome is!

A cheaper alternative might be powdercoating... it can be done two-tone like your rims, but it is very labor intensive... not nearly as expensive...  your rims look beautiful - it is a shame they are flacking!
Thanks MC. I was looking into PC but i just like the way the chrome and blue spokes look in the sun, it just looks sick!

Well, I learned alot about chrome wheels from this thread. I still want to get some though but only from a place that people have had good experiences, not bad.

In there ebay add it says:

These wheels carry a full two year warranty against any defects in the workmanship... BS

Sorry to hear about this man, I am sure someone out there knows how to fix the rim, also, isn't it best to get solid chrome wheels vs. the chrome plated? Also, does anyone know where to get nice chrome wheels for an 08 busa, fairly priced?
What the hell is a solid chrome wheel?  Chrome plating is how the entire industry does it.
solid chrome wheels would weight a freaking ton!
