centerstand

just a word to the wise: i mounted the factory center on my '04 last summer. this fall i lowered the bike 1" front and rear and now the center stand barely lets the bike sit on it without rolling forward off it. while working on the bike the other day i almost let it roll off the stand while tightening a few bolts..........bad, very bad.

i'm going to take my stand off this spring and have it shortened an 1"

plz be careful out there.

Good to know.

I have the centerstand but I'm not planning on lowering my bike.

Presumably it does this because the front is lowered so the bike's weight is angled down more on the front tire. Does it also make it more difficult to get it up on the stand?

As an interim you should consider getting a front stand or at least clamping that front wheel (in the "old days" we used to clamp/strap the front brake lever or use wheel wedges if we didn't have anything else handy to stop the bike rolling forward.)

Thinking the same thing. Get a front stand to help stabilize things.
