So let me get this straight.. we are going to Palomar to get pulled over by cops and possible get a flat tire or lay my bike down due to sandy roads....

Ooookay.  So is there another plan?
Not sure on an alternate plan......I believe we should be OK so long as we don't act like idiots. I'm not going to Palomar to "get faster"....I'm in it for the ride!

The guys riding the GSXR 1000s and R1s and run 90-120 mph up & down the mountain are the ones asking for trouble! But if an alternate plan is what everyone wants......I'm all about it! I just wanna ride!

I dont care one way or another. I will adapt and overcome.

In all reality I guess it really doesnt matter anyway. When riding you should always be checking out the road anyway and ensuring you have the ability to manuevar around obsitcles.

The only differance beween this and regular mountain riding is at least my gaurd will be up and I will be expecting something.

Leathers, for sure. Had some friends ride Paly this past weekend and said it was relatively clean. A couple of guys went down but not because of the road conditions. Rider error. Palomar is fine as long as you give it the respect it deserves. Ya wanna rail? Find a track. You want a nice challenging ride that's fun for folks that just like to ride, Palomar is just fine. Actually, I like it better than Ortega.

I also spoke to a friend who rode palomar on Sun. He says it was relatively clean, like all roads. No cops at all. He was on the mountain for about an hour 1/2. Can't waIT!!!

I think I'm down for Sunday; can't wait - I've never done Palomar b4, + all this talk about pie is getting me hungry....

I'm leaving from Venice; if anyone else is coming from the westside of LA (or passing through), shoot me a PM.

Is anyone gonna be on Chatterbox; + if so, what channel?

Ms. Wag and I use Chatterboxes. We're usually on 8 but once in a while, 2.

I've been on worse roads than Palomar, guys, so don't be paranoid. It's not that much different than any other ride you've been on. You go fast, you takes your chances with the cops. You go fast, you takes your chances with the crap on the road.

You ride with us, you have fun!

End of discussion!

heh heh heh heh.
