Bring Back To Life

When bring her back to life after a long winter. Do you change the oil before you start her? Or start her up and drive around and then change oil. I have always started the bike up. Let it warm up to temperature than rode for about 20 miles than change oil. Now the manual says to change before even changing oil. The battery has been on battery tender all winter. I have not started since being put away for winter.

I change the oil before storing it and then change it when the mileage says to.......

With motor work I change it before and after, but just regular storage, I just change it before I ride.

I would start it up and ride her around a bit then change it.

Mine only sat for 3 months and thats because I was away in California but if she was stowed for the winter that is how I would do it.

I change oil before i store it then in spring ride it until next oil change, {3.000 miles}

Ride it year round and change it every 3000 miles...works for me
