I'm looking to beam my bright lights much higher than the stock setting.... it's just way too low on the road (as far as I'm concerned)...

Any info here is much appreciated! How hard is it to change the setting etc.?

Thanks, guys! I just wanna be sure I can see any Armadillos or dogs that might wanna venture out on the road at night!!!!

I seriously HATE riding at night! I loathe it! Because I do not have the proper visibility I want to speed and do my "thang" on the road.... and because I just do not feel safe on back roads at night because of animals that might come out that I cannot see ahead of me.....

Thanks, guys/gals!!!

You can upgrade to the Sylvania Silverstar 9005 bulb for around $20... a bunch of members have said it is a noticably different. You can get it just about anywhere locally. Or you can upgrade to HID. I just bought a set yesterday but haven't done the install yet. I installed a set in my SUV this week and the difference is absolutely incredible!

RYFOM, There are instructions in there on how to adjust your headlights.

I've noticed ALOT of Busa's and it seems suzuki's in general come outta the factory with the lights Aimed about 15 yards in front of the bike.

Not too hard to adjust just a little bit of a PITA.

RYFOM....hahahaha. FWIW I need to adjust my light up some, the low beam is aimed for crap and I can over-run it less than 30mph.

Yeah my first night out on the Busa I was wondering WTF? It was like riding with nothing but Foglights on.

Under the front, there's a plastic cover with six plastic snap rivets. Use something like the point of a nail to push each rivet in... then remove them. The cover comes right out from underneath.

Look up inside... there's a adjusting nut right there. Turn it one way or the other to raise or lower the high beam, which is easy to get to as it's on the bottom.

The low beam adjusting nut is up higher, and harder to get to.

Anyway, that's what I did, and it makes a nice big difference. Also, I bought HID high beam and installed. It's super easy, just twist the holder and the bulb comes right out (again, high beam, on the bottom, easy to get to.)

I can't figure out how to get the bulb clip off the lowbeam bulb, so am not replacing that one until someone tells me how to do it.

Good luck!

if you want to change low-beam bulb without hassles-remove the whole front nose. seriously not that much work-take out the bolts in side fairings, inners, remove windscreen/mirrors, then pull out (there are clips on either side you will have to pull kinda hard). the harness for lights has a disconnect u will see-prop nose on a chair or have someone hold while you pull out. Then entire light assembly will be accessible and you can do whatever you want with either light.

(i know cuz I had to replace the whole nose of my bike and switch over old headlight assembly) honestly doesnt take that long.

Sounds like a good thing to do... I'll have to give it a try. Besides, I'll be more familiar with the inner workings of the bike that way. Thanks!

Er... um... I actually started trying this... then decided, no, it's not worth the effort. So I went back underneath and just flipped the spring clip up, then slid it down and off the lamp... easy enough. The top bulb (lowbeam) came right out.

And I didn't have to

 anything.

Don't remove the nose. Just take the plastic cover off under the nose. Then reach up and unplug the light. Then pull the rubber dust seal off. Now to get the clip off, push in on the clutch side of the clip and press up at the same time. Then the bulb will just pull right out. Now pull the adapter off the end of the bulb and push the new light into it. Reverse the instructions and your done. DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB....I learned the hard way. I didn't even know I touched it, but I must have. Lasted about 3 weeks and then I had to do it all over again. The second time was much faster though.

yes, readjust the lights, I did mine after the first ride at night, didn't feel safe to see anything I could safely react to above 30mph. adjust both the high and low beam. also didn't you lower the bike? that won't help any, especially if you just lowered the front. that would be just downright scary!

actually Pan hasnt lowered his yet-I have, 1" drop front n rear so its balanced out; my headlight is fine cuz I adjusted it when I swapped into the new nosepiece. I guess you should keep this in mind tho Charlie-ya might havta adjust your lights after you drop it.

(300Busa @ Sep. 15 2006,22:40) Don't remove the nose.  Just take the plastic cover off under the nose.  Then reach up and unplug the light.
Indeed.

Yep ! Finally did mine last week ......What a difference !

There's ABSOLUTELY no reason to take the nose off your Busa to change the high or low beam. .. I did it without any problems. And if you want a 6000k or 8000k HID kit for high and low, I can get them for you.

Once you go to the above post, scroll down for the walk-thru with photos.
